• What kinds of repairs do you offer?
  FM Guitar Repair does everything from restringing, tune up and maintenance to electrical repair, hardware repair, some structural repair, and more.

• Do I need an appointment?
  Nope, no appointment necessary. Just give me a call and we can set up a drop off time and date. 

• How long will my repair take to be completed, what is the turnaround time?
  Prompt turnaround is always a priority. I can quote you a turnaround time, once I have evaluated the repair.  

• Can I trust you with my instrument, are you experienced?
  Please read the About Me tab. I have been building, repairing and playing guitars for over 18 years. In order to stay on top of my game, I attend certification classes and receive ongoing training and certification so you always know your guitar is in safe hands.

• How often should I change the strings on my guitar?
  It depends on how often you play, climate conditions, type and quality of string, etc… Generally, every 4-6 months. IF you play every night than every 1 - 2 months would be recommended. 

• How can I prolong the life of my instrument?

        By maintaining it with regular setups and professional repair.

• How often should I tune up (set up) my guitar?
  To keep your guitar playing at optimal performance, it's a good idea to have a setup done 1-2 times per year.

• How much do you charge for a setup?

• Do you intonate and strobe tune?
  Yes.

• What kinds of things can I do to upgrade my guitar?
  From pickups and electronics to hardware upgrades, there are so many options. Give me a call and we figure out how to take your guitar to the next level.
